Built in 1787 near Chand Chaura, Gaya, Vishnupad Temple is one of the most revered religious sites dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is situated on the banks of River Falgu and taking a look at its azure and incessant water is a visual treat itself. The environment of this temple is calm and peaceful and other temples are also located adjacent to the main temple building dedicated to deities such as Lord Narasimha, Lord Shiva and of course Lord Vishnu.
The entry fee is zero and you can visit the Vishnupad temple in Gaya any time between 4 am to 10 pm. And one of the major attractions of this temple is the 40 centimeter long footprint of Lord Vishnu that you must check out after you have visited the shrine.
