Victoria Memorial

One of the most well-known tourist spots in Kolkata has got to be the building known as Victoria Memorial. The building was made in the year 1906 by Lord Curzon as a memorial for the late British queen Victoria who had died in 1901. However, later on, the building became a museum that showed the life of Queen Victoria and the life of people in Kolkata during the British era through different types of paintings and artworks. The building is also famous for holding art exhibitions and hence is a great tourist attraction, especially for people who have a passion for art.
