Established in 1786, by Captain John Garstin, a revered British Officer at that time, the main purpose to build Gol Ghar was use it as a massive granary. There is an enormous right inside the Gol Ghar area and you can reach its summit by climbing 145 stairs back to back. However, all your efforts will be worth it when you will get the spectacular views of River Ganga and rest of the city from above.
Aside from that, a light and sound show is also conducted here on a daily basis that you can relish with your near and dear ones.
